For the first time in 27 years, the Baltimore Orioles will open its Camden Yards stadium as a concert venue, and the legendary Billy Joel will perform the first show.

The concert, presented by Oriole Park and Live Nation, will take place on July 26. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to music and arts education programs for kids across Maryland by the Orioles Charitable Foundation.

“As an entertainment company bringing world class sports, music, and other diverse events to the live venues we manage and to our multimedia television, digital, and radio platforms, there is no greater opportunity than to bring a true music legend in Billy Joel to the ballpark and into our community,” John Angelos, Orioles executive vice president, said in a statement.

“Billy Joel and Oriole Park at Camden Yards are leaders across the entertainment world in selling tickets, driving tourism and creating one-of-a-kind memories, and the Orioles are thrilled to make Camden Yards home to an iconic artist who generations of Americans have grown up with and who is still setting records today.”

The Piano Man has also announced that he will perform for the first time at Denver’s Coors Field, Milwaukee’s Millers Park, and Arlington, Texas’ Globe Life Park, and he will return to Fenway Park in Boston, Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, and London’s Wembley Stadium this year. Additionally, Joel will play Madison Square Garden several times throughout the year; his 60th sell-out show at MSG is on January 24.
