The metalcore outfit Killswitch Engage has added new dates to their previously-announced tour to support their forthcoming ninth studio album, This Consequence, due February 21.
Their North American tour, which is scheduled to begin in early March, will now include eight additional dates in May, further expanding their concert run across the continent. Starting on March 5 in Nashville, Killswitch Engage will head to Oklahoma City, Las Vegas, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and more, with a final destination at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine on April 12. They will be joined by Kublai Khan TX, Fit For A King and death metal unit Frozen Soul.
The newly-announced May shows will see the band stop in Indianapolis, Memphis, New Orleans, Birmingham, Daytona Beach, and Myrtle Beach, starting from Columbus on May 5 and wrapping-up in Virginia Beach on May 18. The second leg of the tour will feature support from Shadows Fall, Fit For A King, and Boundaries.
Tickets for the newly-announced dates head on sale on Friday, January 10 at 10 a.m. local time.
Killswitch frontman Jesse Leach shared in a statement that the group is very excited to be back out on the road in support of their incoming new album.
“What better way to roll it out than to have a few dates with our close friends and local boys Shadows Fall with us!” Leach said. “They have come back with a vengeance and we want to have them along for the party on these run of shows. To round it out will be the mighty Fit For a King and the heavy hitters Boundaries! All killer, no filler.”
The frontman added that new album meant the world to them so they would be giving it their absolute all on those shows.
Formed in 1999, Killswitch Engage currently consists of Mike D’Antonio on bass; Adam Dutkiewicz on lead guitar, vocals, and drums; Joel Stroetzel on rhythm guitar, lead guitar, and backing vocals; Jesse Leach on lead vocals; and Justin Foley on drums.
