Due to an unspecified injury suffered by frontman Steven Tyler, rock crew Aerosmith postponed three of its concerts during the holiday weekend. Shows were axed on July 1 at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH; July 3 at Hershey Park Stadium in Hershey, PA; and July 5 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, VA.

The band has not released an official statement regarding the missed dates. However, on his Twitter account, guitarist Joe Perry indicated that the band hopes to reschedule all three performances “as long as Steven is able.”

As of right now, the band is still scheduled to perform its July 7 concert at Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion in Raleigh, NC, with tour partners ZZ Top. The trek kicked off in mid-June and is currently booked through September.

Tyler’s injury is just the latest to sideline an Aerosmith member this season.

According to Rolling Stone, tomorrow night’s concert is also set to be the first of the season featuring guitarist Brad Whitford since his recovery from an unspecified pre-tour surgery. He had been replaced by musician Bobby Schneck during the initial dates of the tour.
