Dane Cook got his big break in stand-up comedy in 1998, when he performed on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend.” By 2000, he had appeared in his own half-hour special on Comedy Central, and in 2003, Cook released his first album (a CD/DVD) entitled “Harmful if Swallowed.” Since then, he has created four more, including his most recent disc, “Isolated Incident,” released in May 2009.
Cook has also achieved some success as an actor, nabbing small parts in several films before starring in “Employee of the Month” in 2006 alongside Jessica Simpson. He also landed major parts in “Good Luck Chuck” and “Dan in Real Life,” and he explored his serious side with “Mr. Brooks,” all of which were released in 2007. Most recently, he starred in “My Best Friend’s Girl” in 2008. His “Global Thermo” comedy tour continues in fall 2009.

Kicking off this weekends onsales are tickets to catch mega-comedian Dane Cook live on stage. The popular comedian has recently been selling out large venues on his national tour. Today, he has tickets on sale for upcoming performances in Calgary, Rochester, and Hershey, PA. Also among the onsales for today are tickets for upcoming concerts from 80's band Devo in New York City, San Francisco, and Toronto. Former Dire Straits lead singer Mark Knopfler has a series of concerts among the weekend onsales, including performances in New York City, Chicago, Denver, and Toronto.
Dane Cook tour plots more 'Global Thermo' events for North America
Comedian Dane Cook will keep the laughs coming in North America as he launches the second leg of his Global Thermo Comedy Tour. Phase two of the tour kicks off with a September 4-6 run at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, NJ, and continues after a month's break with another multi-night engagement on October 9-10 at The Joint in Las Vegas, NV.
Dane Cook tour charts international dates for Global Thermo Comedy
Fans of Dane Cook don't have to wait for the funnyman's latest Comedy Central special and album "ISolated INcident" to land in May. The comedian will head out this spring for a 34-city North American tour circuit before taking his act on the international road.
The Global Thermo Comedy Tour launches with an April 25-26 stand at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, and closes out June 27 at Philips Arena in Atlanta, GA. Performances are also penciled in for May 8 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON; May 22-24 at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas, NV; May 30 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA; and June 14 at the United Center in Chicago, IL, among other dates.
