The Langerado Music Festival was held each spring in southern Florida from 2003 to 2008, and it attracted several top shelf musical acts over the years, such as the Beastie Boys, R.E.M., the Black Crowes and the Flaming Lips.
The festival was held in various locations around the Fort Lauderdale area for the first several years, but in 2008 it was moved to the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation.
Organizers planned a 2009 festival, but poor ticket sales forced its cancellation, and no new dates for the event have been announced.
Langerado Music Festival canceled due to slow ticket sales
Sluggish ticket sales have caused the cancellation of the 2009 Langerado Music Festival. The three-day event was scheduled to take place March 6-8 in downtown Miami, FL, at Bicentennial Park on Biscayne Bay.
All tickets purchased will be refunded in the next five to seven business days, according to a statement from the festival's organizers. Each order will be refunded to the credit card in full, minus the included order processing fees. Shipping fees will also be credited for those orders that did not select the free shipping promotion.

Tickets go on sale December 12. Weekend passes start at $120; individual day tickets start at $75. Weekend passes and day ticket prices are all inclusive with no additional service charges. Children eight and under are admitted free with paid adults.
Langerado Music Festival relocates to Miami for 2009
The seventh annual Langerado Music Festival will have a new location in sunny Florida next year. The multi-day, multi-stage music and arts fest is moving downtown to Miami’s Bicentennial Park on Biscayne Bay for three days of music from March 6-8, 2009.
"The City of Miami is utterly delighted to welcome the Langerado Music Festival for its inaugural show in downtown Miami's Bicentennial Park,” Robert Parente, director of Film and Cultural Affairs for Miami's Mayor's Office, said in a statement. “The festival's move to a more urban environment heralds an important milestone in its growth; it will now be a more accessible community-oriented event. With a myriad of artists representing a great many musical genres, Langerado's lineup will be as diverse as Miami's population, and we are thrilled that Langerado has chosen Miami as its home.”

Entering its sixth year, the 2008 Langerado Music Festival in Florida, set for March 6-9, has established its place as the unofficial kickoff to music festival season. Next year, organizers are taking it to the next level and moving the event to the expansive Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation. Since its inaugural event in 2003, Langerado has grown from 3,500 in attendance at Fort Lauderdale Stadium to 15,000 per day at 2007’s hugely successful event at Markham Park. The initial talent line-up will be announced on Nov. 8, and tickets go on sale Nov. 15.
