Madison Square Garden

Madison Square Garden (MSG), located on Seventh Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets in New York City, is often referred to as "The World's Most Famous Arena." Home of the New York Rangers, New York Knicks, world-class concerts and other major events, MSG is a true landmark not only for New Yorkers but throughout the world.

Owned by Cablevision Systems Corp., MSG is always among the top-selling venues in the U.S., according to TicketNews's exclusive Venues Rankings, and in 2008 the facility underwent a $500 million renovation.

The building, which not only includes the main arena but also the smaller WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden, is under contract with Ticketmaster, but owners briefly flirted with the idea of switching its ticketing operations to Live Nation when the Ticketmaster contract expired. The owners decided against the move.
