Peter Murphy, often called the “Godfather of Goth,” was the lead singer of Bauhaus, a gothic rock group, before breaking out into a solo career after the group broke up (for the first time) in 1983. Murphy released his first album in 1986, entitled “Should the World Fail to Fall Apart.” Over the next two decades, he put out nine more albums, including a compilation, “Wild Birds: 1985-1995,” in 2000, and a live album in 2001, “A Live Just for Love.”
Murphy has reunited with Bauhaus twice, once in 1998 for a reunion tour and again from 2005-2008. The group released their final album, “Go Away White,” in 2008. In 2009, Murphy announced work on a new solo studio album, to be released sometime later in the year. He embarked on the international Secret Cover Tour in the summer of 2009 and also appeared with Trent Reznor across the U.S.

More than 30 performances are currently booked across the nation, from June 2 at El Corazon in Seattle, WA, through July 18 at the Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee, WI. More U.S. dates are forthcoming for the tour itinerary, as well as a round of touring in Europe.
