Trace Adkins is an American country singer born and raised in Louisiana. He released his first album, entitled “Dreamin’ Out Loud,” in 1996, reaching #6 on the US Country charts and attaining platinum status. Adkins has continued his success, releasing seven additional studio albums over the last 13 years. His most recent albums have been extremely successful; both “Songs About Me” and “Dangerous Man” (released in 2005 and 2006, respectively) topped the US Country charts.
Adkins’ most recent album was released in 2008, called “X” to signify that it is his tenth album, if you count his two greatest hits releases. He won CMT’s Male Video of the Year for “I Got My Game On” in 2008, and in 2009 he received ACM’s Single of the Year award for “You’re Gonna Miss This.” Adkin’s latest endeavors have included competing in “Celebrity Apprentice” (in which he was runner-up), performing on “The Young and the Restless” and touring the U.S. in 2009.

Economy blamed for Lynyrd Skynyrd, Trace Adkins show cancellation
The troubled economy is taking the blame for the cancellation of the Lynyrd Skynyrd and Trace Adkins show at the Sommet Center in Nashville, TN.
"For the past 12 years, we’ve been fortunate to have the biggest names in music celebrate New Year’s Eve in Nashville," Steve Moore, of MEG / AEG Live, said in a statement, "but there is no denying that our core audience has been financially challenged by the hard realities of a flattened economy."
Alan Jackson tour lets the 'good times' roll with Trace Adkins
Alan Jackson may consider himself a "Small Town Southern Man," but the country music titan has long been a portrait of big time success. After hitting the 50 million mark for album sales this summer, Jackson is hitting the road for an 18-city fall jaunt.
Jackson is supporting his March release "Good Time," which topped the country charts in the U.S. and Canada and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album is his fifteenth studio recording and the follow-up to 2006's "Like Red on a Rose," produced by country songstress Alison Krauss.
