Killswitch Engage of Westfield, Mass., formed in 1999. Killswitch is seen by many as the pioneers of the blend of metal riffs, melody and hardcore aggression known as metalcore.
With three albums to date and songs contributed to compilations and soundtracks, they set their sights on Anchorage before they release their latest album, “As Daylight Dies,” Nov. 21. The band consists of singer and lyricist Howard Jones, guitarist Joel Stroetzel, guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, bassist Mike D (Mike D’Antonio) and drummer Justin Foley.
