“School of Rock” meets “Nacho Libre” as Jack Black hits the road for his first major rock tour with his band Tenacious D. The multi-talented Black plays guitar and sings lead vocals along with his partner Kyle Gass on lead guitar. Those expecting a night of laughs and hilarity will not be disappointed; those curious about the musical side will be wildly surprised at the rock spectacle hitting 13 venues November 11th-December 5th.
The tour kicks off in the Las Vegas House of Blues and finishes in Atlanta. The band’s previous radio hits “Wonderboy”, “Tribute”, and the latest “Pick of Destiny” merely represents the tip of the rock iceberg. Along with their proven hits, Black is capable of trotting out innumerable covers, a toy saxophone solo, or even something they make up on the spot.
Tenacious D live will exceed all of your expectations. The conventional 90 minute set and 2 song encore are thrown out the window when Jack and his band hit the stage. Make no mistake, the music is not a supplement to the Jack Black show; it is the show. Be sure to act quick as Tenacious D tours are few and far between.
