Following their successful 2006 summer tour across America with Counting Crows, and a series of end-of-year performances that rocked audiences with their unique blend of metallic punk harmonies, the Goo-Goo Dolls are continuing their incredible trek by hitting the road February with a tour scheduled to take in around 30 U.S. cities. Last year saw the first album from the electrifying Buffalo trio since 2002’s “Gutterflower”, entitled “Let Love In”, recorded in their New York State hometown. Founding members Johnny Reznik (vocals/guitar) and Robby Takac (bass) left their adopted home of Los Angeles and revisited the scene of their bad old days to record the new set, a move which proved invaluable as a source of inspiration. The band moved their operation into a 100 year old Masonic ballroom, the novelty of which stirred up a deep appreciation for their rock origins.

“It was a really beautiful old place,” Rzeznik said. “It felt really good to be back where I grew up. It’s sort of that whole getting-back-to-your-roots thing only that sounds so cliche, but there’s definitely a different kind of dramatic tension there than in L.A.”
In keeping with their community spirit, the trio plan to continue their commitment to USA Harvest, and will collect and distribute canned food and other goods for low-income families in each tour location. Collection containers will be conveniently located close to entrance doors for audience members to deposit contributions.
