The Flaming Lips, long considered one of the more creative bands when it comes to live performing, this week announced a spring mini tour in Florida and other Southeastern locations, according to Suicidegirls.com.

Frontman Wayne Coyne and company are coming off two Grammy wins in technical categories for their latest album “At War with the Mystics.” The seven dates are mostly smaller venues where the band’s antics can be appreciated up close.

Beginning on April 11 in Athens, GA at the Classic Center, the tour will next hit Orlando, FL on April 12 at the House of Blues followed by April 13 in Pompano Beach, FL at the PB Amphitheater; April 14 in St. Petersburg, FL at Jannus Landing; April 17 in Myrtle Beach, FL at the House of Blues; April 18 in Raleigh, NC at Disco Rodeo; and April 19 in Norfolk, VA at the Norva.
