Italian musical superstar Zucherro, who has been a fixture on the European music scene for more than two decades, embarks on a North American tour, his first in six years, on Sept. 27 in Boston.

Zucchero’s touring band is an amalgam of Italian and American musicians including Adriano Molinari (drums), Mario Schiliro (guitar), E Street Band veteran David Sancious (keyboards), guitarist Kat Dyson who had been in Cyndi Lauper’s band and Paul Howard Jones (bass) whose place in Zucchero’s band had earlier been occupied by Randy Jackson, now serving on American Idol’s panel of judges.

The tour will be followed by the Nov. 23 release of the album, “All the Best,” an overview of his recording career.
