Rapper Lupe Fiasco, who received a Grammy nod for his hit single, “Daydreamin’ (Feat. Jill Scott),” will launch a full-scale U.S. tour supporting his sophomore CD, “The Cool,” beginning Jan. 10 in Portland, OR. Dates continue through late March with more to be announced. He is currently one of MySpace’s top 10 current artists.

The album, released Dec. 18, is a follow-up to his 2006 breakthrough debut, “Food & Liquor,” and features special guest Snoop Dogg with production from Soundtrakk, UNKLE, Chris & Drop, and Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump.

The Chicago-based MC has been all over MTV and its affiliated channels in recent weeks, including a show-stopping performance with Stump at the recent mtvU Woodie Awards extravaganza. In addition, Fiasco will be the subject of a January installment of MTV’s “52 Bands,” a special feature that highlights one new artist per week throughout the year. Fiasco has already visited BET’s “106 & Park” to introduce the “Superstar” video, with additional upcoming TV appearances slated for after the New Year.
