With four concerts recently postponed and rescheduled due to Eddie Van Halen’s health,
Van Halen has postponed the entire leg of their current tour, 17 concerts, which will presumably resume on April 19. The rescheduled itinerary has not been released yet. EddieVan Halen is currently under doctor’s care, and the postponements will allow him to continue medical tests to define a course of treatment.
Unlike some tours that cancel or postpone shows due to lagging ticket sales, Van Halen’s reunion tour has been nothing short of a flat out success, with strong reviews and ticket sales routinely placing the tour among the top concert draws of the past several months, according to TicketNews’ exclusive weekly rankings. Yet, the band had to fend off speculation of tension within its ranks and other issues, which may or may not have contributed to Eddie’s health problems.
Shows originally scheduled for Dallas, TX on March 3; Cincinnati, OH on March 5; Raleigh, NC on March 7 and Baltimore, MD on March 9 have been postponed twice.
Ticketholders should retain their tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled concerts, or ticket refunds will be issued at the original point of purchase.
