Grammy winning rocker John Mellencamp has booked his summer tour that will launch on July 8 at Philadelphia, PA’s Mann Music Center. Dates currently extend through Aug. 2 with more to follow. The nearly four-week tour will hit all the major markets including Boston, New York, Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles and others. Three-time Grammy winner Lucinda Williams will also perform on most dates.
Mellencamp, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March, will be showcasing new songs with his band from his new album, “Life, Death, Love and Freedom,” due on July 15. He began performing unreleased songs from the album last year within his concert set.
Tickets go on sale to the public on April 26.
