The Black and White Years, recently named Austin, TX’s Best New Local Band 2008 by The Austin Chronicle, head out on tour this month, with bookings through August 12 in Fort Worth, TX. An isolated date on September 27 has them playing at the Austin City Limits music festival.
The band’s fan base has been steadily growing across the country as they have broken through on college radio. In its first four weeks out, their eponymous debut album and debut single “Power to Change” has been added to 120 stations, including a #1 debut at core station WONC in Chicago.
The lead track has also made it to the top of influential Albany, NY/Manchester, VT modern rock station WEQX’s playlist where it spent four weeks at the #1 position.
