Veteran R&B group and an eight-time Grammy winner Earth, Wind & Fire (EW&F) has mapped out an extensive summer tour that will hit the road June 6 in Las Vegas, NV and continue through September 28 in Huntsville, AL.
EW&F, which has sold more than 30 million albums in the U.S., is still promoting its 2005 album “Illumination,” which celebrated its 35th anniversary in show business. The tracks are produced by a who’s who of record producers: Raphael Saadiq, Black Eyed Peas leader Will.I.Am, Organized Noise, Brian McKnight and the team of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Guest performers on the album include Saadiq, Will.I.Am, McKnight, Big Boi of OutKast, Kenny G, Floetry and Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child.
Best known for staples such as “Reasons” and “Shining Star,” the band was considered one of popular music’s bigger concert draws in the 1970s and ’80s.
