Elvis Costello and The Imposters, The Roots and Canada’s own Broken Social Scene are among the artists that have been tapped for the inaugural Whistler Music Festival, July 19-20 in Whistler, BC. Other artists confirmed for the two-day festival include Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Medeski Martin & Wood, Bedouin Soundclash and Serena Ryder. An additional marquee artist will be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets go on sale May 29, available exclusively at festival’s website, and will range in price from $57 to $120. Details regarding packages including tickets and accommodations will be released in the coming days.

Whistler Music Festival, produced by the Festival Network, LLC in conjunction with Tourism Whistler, Whistler-Blackcomb and the Resort Municipality of Whistler, is part of Festival Network’s series of new festivals being introduced worldwide in a unique destination setting. The festival takes place at The Tube Park at Base II on Blackcomb Mountain.

“We are proud to be able to offer Whistler, Vancouver and the surrounding communities a festival that they can truly call their own,” said Tom Shepard, CEO of Festival Network, in a statement. “We plan on making this a memorable experience that we can bring back to the area for years to come.”
