After a U. S. tour in May (May 13-June 2) and three shows in Europe (two in Germany, one in England) in early June, Filter continues to expand its touring schedule in the States with a hodgepodge of radio shows thrown into the mix. The latest leg of the tour kicked off June 12 in Ft. Wayne, IN with dates booked through July 27 in Altamont, NY.
One of the newly added dates, July 12 at The Roxy in Los Angeles, CA, will act as a homecoming of sorts; it is a special intimate performance for friends and family as Los Angeles is Filter front man Richard Patrick’s adopted hometown. Only a limited number of tickets will be made available to the general public.
Filter’s tour marks the first concerts in six years for the rockers, who are touring behind their new album “Anthems for the Damned” and new single “Solders of Misfortune.”
“This song is a pro-troops, anti-war song and the video shows how this country is being consumed by its need for oil,” says Patrick in a statement.
