Pop-punkers Josephine Collective (JC) will co-headline a U.S. tour with The After Midnight Project starting June 30 in Phoenix, AZ. The tour is in support of their Warner Bros. Records debut “We Are the Air,” which was released digitally on June 24. The Josephine Collective will also join up with the Warped Tour on July 10, 12-13.
The new album, produced by John Feldmann (The Used, Good Charlotte), is a fusion of pop, punk, screamo and hardcore. “We Are the Air” features key tracks such as “Living,” a happy-go-lucky, up-tempo-driven song and the hip-hop tinged “Leave Me Love,” and explores teenage subject matters of rebellion, love, friendships and growing up.
“I was just really digging in when we were writing and demoing these songs,” JC vocalist Dillon Devoe said in a statement about the album. “I really wanted to make sure these songs meant something to me down the road and not just right now. I was just exploring past life experiences and trying to capture that feeling of being hopeless and stuck in a small town and how cool it felt to get out and feel like you’re figuring out the world.”
In addition to Devoe, the Kansas City, MO-based band also includes Alex Sandate (vocals), Craig Swank (guitar), Damon Baltuska (guitar), Colby Logback (bass) and Jared Bond (drums).
