Indie rock band Meg & Dia, originally founded in 2004 by sisters Meg and Dia Frampton, are now a five-piece group and will hit the road on August 15 in Jacksonville, FL for a 16-city headlining U.S. tour with support from Jonezetta, Danger:Radio and Dropping Daylight. The tour winds down on September 2 in Salt Lake City, UT.

The band — which in addition to Meg (guitar, vocals) and Dia Frampton (lead vocal) — now includes Nick Price (drums), Carlo Gimenez (guitar), and Jonathan Snyder (bass) — will not only perform songs from their current album “Something Real,” (released August 2006) but they will also preview songs from its follow-up album for Warner Bros. Records, which they began recording in Los Angeles in May.

For selected dates on this tour, Warner Bros. Records and Meg & Dia have partnered with Garnier for the beauty retailer’s “Get The Look” sweepstakes. One grand-prize winner will win a trip to meet the band, receive VIP tickets to one of three shows sponsored by Garnier, and receive a Garnier makeover. The Garnier sponsored shows are: August 15 in Jacksonville, FL, August 20 in Albany, NY, and August 27 in Austin, TX. To enter, fans must text Garnier at “467467.”

Meg & Dia has been on the road for the last two years in support of “Something Real,” and spent last summer headlining the stage on the Vans Warped Tour, then did several dates with The Almost and Josh Moore before finishing out 2007 with The Spill Canvas. This year the band continued its marathon tour with a series of high-profile dates with San Diego’s Angels & Airwaves (fronted by former Blink-182 vocalist-guitarist Tom Delonge).

Rolling Stone has dubbed them a “New Artist You Should Know About.”
