New York, NY (MSG Entertainment) July 28, 2008 – MSG Entertainment (MSGE) announced today that Liana Farnham has been named vice president, concert marketing, where she will oversee the marketing of all concerts, family shows and attractions in New York, and outside markets including Chicago.

“As MSG Entertainment continues to grow our core business both within New York and across the country through new venue acquisitions, we need to ensure that we are reaching our expanding customer base in new and innovative ways,” said Kristina Heney, Senior Vice President Marketing, MSGE. “I am pleased that Liana is bringing her impressive industry experience to MSGE’s team, and am confident she will help spearhead effective and creative marketing initiatives that differentiate our product in an increasingly competitive environment.”

In her new role as Vice President, Concert Marketing, Ms. Farnham will be responsible for the marketing of all concerts, family shows and attractions at Madison Square Garden, The WaMu Theater, Radio City Music Hall, the Beacon Theatre, and the Chicago Theatre. Additionally, Farnham will work closely with other MSG divisions, including Fuse and MSG Media, to create content and cross-platform marketing initiatives that enhance the company’s success in attracting artists to MSG’s venues.

MSG Entertainment is in the midst of a significant expansion of its core business, including maximizing the performance of its existing properties and growing its presence outside of the New York metro area. Over the past 18 months, MSGE’s growth and expansion has included enhanced productions, acquisitions and new initiatives designed to grow MSGE’s brand in the live entertainment industry nationwide. The division has increased bookings and productions for a variety of concerts and special events, across all its venues, and will continue to develop and partner on new entertainment properties in the future.

“I’m thrilled to return to the live entertainment business with MSGE and work with promoters, agents, managers, and talent in my new capacity,” said Ms. Farnham. “Working with Madison Square Garden’s marquee venues and powerhouse brands that have such strong cross-promotional possibilities is a marketer’s dream. I look forward to creating unique marketing platforms to promote the wide range of entertainment that only MSGE can offer.”

Farnham comes to MSGE following a 13-year run at SonyBMG Entertainment, where she was vice president, marketing and artist development for Columbia Records. During her SonyBMG tenure, Farnham was responsible for creating the Tour Marketing Department at Columbia Records in 1995. As department head, her responsibilities included overseeing all aspects of marketing relating to personal appearances and touring. Liana was nominated 13 years in a row as Artist Development Executive of the year by Pollstar Magazine, and won the award in 2001. Prior to SonyBMG, Farnham worked in DC promoting concerts with I.M.P Productions, where she oversaw all concert promotion and advertising, as well as developed local and national sponsorship initiatives.
