German glam-pop rockers Tokio Hotel are mounting a summer headlining tour of the U.S. beginning August 7 in Sayreville, NJ. The 11-city trek will include a mix of clubs and theaters and finishes up August 28 in Houston, TX.
The quartet is touring behind “Scream,” its English-language debut, released in the U.S. on May 6. “Scream” was initially slated for an April 29 release but had to be postponed after lead singer Bill Kaulitz underwent surgery to remove a cyst from his vocal chords, forcing the cancellation of their European and North American tours.
The 12-track album includes English versions of songs from their first two albums, “Schrei” and “Zimmer 483; “Scream” is the English translation of their first album, “Schrei.”
The band was founded in Magdeburg, Germany in 2001 by 18-year-old twin brothers, lead singer Bill Kaulitz and guitarist Tom Kaulitz, bassist George Listing and drummer Gustav Shafer.
