Iconic singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has announced plans to continue his 2008 tour with a fall jaunt across Canada that features a few U.S. stops. The new trek kicks off October 23 at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC, and continues through November 6 at the Riverside Theatre in Milwaukee, WI.

In addition to the Milwaukee show, Dylan has two more U.S. dates on the books: November 4 at Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis, MN, and November 5 at the La Crosse Center in La Crosse, WI. In a statement, Dylan’s tour said, “Please take particular note of a very special engagement on November 4 at the Northrop Auditorium on the Minneapolis campus of the University of Minnesota, an elegant 1929 structure referred to as ‘the Carnegie Hall of the Midwest.'”

Presales for the Canadian dates begin today, September 22, with public on-sales following on September 26-27. Presales start September 24 for Minneapolis and Milwaukee, and September 25 for La Crosse, with public on-sales for those shows opening October 3-4.

According to Bob Dylan’s official Web site, Hot Seat Packages will be available on a limited basis at a future date. The packages include a premium top-priced ticket, an exclusive tour merchandise item, and a collectible laminate.

Prior to opening his 2008 touring season, Dylan was honored on April 7 with a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation for “profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power.”
