Living Colour, The Family Stand, and Danielia Cotton and her three-piece band will perform at a benefit concert on September 10 at New York City’s Greenwich Village club Le Poisson Rouge.

One hundred percent of the concert’s proceeds will go to the social change and activism Web site MoveOn.org. Face value for tickets is $27.50.

The event was conceived by Living Colour drummer Will Calhoun. He noted in a statement that the concert will be “a night of music with local musicians whose songs will get people thinking about change. That’s what this concert is really about: we want people…to make a change in their lives that goes beyond election day — taking responsibility for their actions, and thinking in new ways about our country, our politics, our families, and our future.”

Cotton, one of the major breakthrough acts this year, added, “I’m thrilled to be part of this concert and lending my talents during this historical moment.”
