British rock icon Oasis is just one act wrapping its North American touring season during the week ending December 22 as compiled by TicketNews.

The Gallagher brothers and their band have been on the road supporting their latest release, “Dig Out Your Soul.” During the group’s Canadian tour, guitarist Noel Gallagher was attacked onstage and sustained injuries that sidelined the whole band for several dates. However, Oasis trekked on and unveiled its first U.S. dates in about three years. The final show of the year is slated for December 20 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA, though Oasis will be back on the road in 2009 for more European dates.

Tween touring phenomenon The Cheetah Girls will also be performing their final shows of the year over the course of the week. The Disney-created vocal group launched their North American tour in early October and have four more concerts slated for 2008, including the December 21 tour closer at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, CA. Far from being a kid-friendly band, hard rock crew Hinder will conclude its headlining stint on the Jagermeister Music Tour the following day. After the December 22 gig at Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, IN, the rockers will be off the road until February, when they support Motley Crue‘s latest North American outing.

Football fans will have one last chance to grab tickets for regular season home games this week, as several teams hit the gridiron one last time before the playoffs. Unfortunately for the faithful following some teams, like the Washington Redskins and the Chicago Bears, there probably won’t be any playoffs in the forecast for this season after their respective home games on December 21 and 22. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos both have a shot at home games in the post-season, and the New York Giants will hit the home field again on either January 10 or 11.

The availability of tickets for Last Chance events depends on primary and secondary seller inventory, and may vary as tickets are sold in the days leading up to each event.
