Beyoncé is bringing her “I AM . . .” world tour back to the states and ticket sales for the event gave the singer the number five spot and a 2.40 power score in TicketNews’s Weekly Top Events rankings for the week ending April 26. Wicked is still a top seller, as the show takes number one in the Top Events rankings and a 5.60 power score. Second overall with a 3.76 power score is U2. The Boston Red Sox make a big leap to number three (3.12) from their number six spot in the last rankings.

Aerosmith & ZZ Top stay at number four (3.02). The Jonas Brothers continue to sell tickets, and this week the band sold enough for number six (1.96), pulling ahead of the New York Yankees (seven, 1.76). The Dead break into the top ten at number eight (1.72). Kenny Chesney takes number nine (1.65) and popular theater show Jersey Boys takes number ten (1.65).

In the Top Sports Events rankings, the Red Sox and Yankees are of course one and two (power scores 9.21 and 5.85, respectively), while the Chicago Cubs are number three (4.23). The WWE continues to make a strong showing in the sports rankings, this time rising to number four (2.55) from number six. Football season isn’t yet here but the Dallas Cowboys are selling enough tickets to put the team at number five (2.32). Fighter Manny Pacquiao is back in the rankings at number six (2.03). Numbers seven and eight belong to NBA Western Conference First Round Playoffs: the Dallas Mavericks game is number seven (1.96) and the Houston Rockets game is number eight (1.75). At number nine is the New York Rangers NHL Eastern Conference Quarterfinals game. The Kentucky Derby is right around the corner, and that event comes in at number ten with a 1.65 power score.

U2 of course is the top selling concert in these rankings and sits at number one in the Top Concerts Events rankings. Other top selling concerts include Dave Matthews Band, at number eight in the concert rankings (2.69), Elton John & Billy Joel at number nine (2.34), and Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band at number ten (2.30).

Not surprisingly, the Top Broadway Events rankings show Wicked at number one (32.14). Following Wicked are Jersey Boys (12.33), West Side Story (11.58) and Billy Elliot (7.56). Hair continues to be popular Broadway fare; that show comes in at number eight (2.75), ahead of Mamma Mia! (nine, 2.55) and Cirque du Soleil – Kooza (ten, 2.08).

The top three bestselling theater shows match the top three bestselling Broadway shows. Andrea Bocelli is in the theater top ten at number four (4.20). Shows like South Pacific (six, 3.72) and Phantom of the Opera (seven, 3.43) continue to move tickets, as do Lion King (eight, 2.72) and Mary Poppins (nine. 2.42).

Cher still dominates the Vegas top ten with a 50.66 power score. Bette Midler trails in second with a 28.56 power score, followed by Elton John the Red Piano (4.80). Cirque du Soleil – O (4.22) and Cirque du Soleil – The Beatles: Love (2.62) rank at four and five. Criss Angel: Believe follows in number six (1.55). New to the Vegas top ten, at number seven: V – The Ultimate Variety Show (0.97). Danny Gans comes in close behind at number eight (0.83). Closing out the Vegas top ten are Cirque du Soleil – Zumanity (nine, 0.80), and Phantom the Vegas Spectacular (ten, 0.75).
