In a first for the industry, TicketNews is launching “TicketNews TV,” a fast-paced, monthly Web-based newscast that covers the ticket business, with a focus on the secondary ticket market. Click on the image below to view the video.

The news segments will vary in length and content, and the goal of the project is to not only keep industry professionals up to speed, but inform the public about important events throughout the market.

“As the leading source for ticketing news and information, we are proud to bring our readers the first edition of TicketNews TV,” said Crystal Astrachan, publisher of TicketNews. “Historically, TicketNews has provided timely written ticketing industry news. Now, with TicketNews TV, we will educate the public through monthly updates on the major developments in the industry.”

Hosted by correspondent Kim Crandall, the first edition of TicketNews TV looks at the proposed merger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation; developments with ticketing legislation in Minnesota and New York; and updates on the No Doubt tickets being auctioned for charity, and on Michael Jackson’s upcoming performances in London, ENG.

The launch of TicketNews TV is the latest example of parent company TicketNetwork’s continuing efforts to brand TicketNews as the leading destination for news and information about the ticketing industry. TicketNetwork is also the host of the annual Ticket Summit conference and trade show, which is scheduled for July 15-17 at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
