More Michael Jackson updates and Daughtry’s tour plans are in the mix for the daily tour recap on July 2, as compiled by TicketNews.

The King of Pop is still dominating entertainment headlines — both in terms of his final days and what comes next for his former promoter and fans. AEG Live president Randy Phillips gave an interview in London about potential Michael Jackson tribute concert plans. Meanwhile, the public is getting a closer look at the performer’s last days in the form of concert rehearsal videos, taken just days before Jackson’s death.

In other concert and tour news, Daughtry has announced plans for a brief August tour that will showcase new music from the former American Idol and his band in an intimate club setting. The reformed Alice in Chains also has a one-month venture set up for September to promote its first studio album in about 14 years. Finally, the Black Eyed Peas will perform in Australia and New Zealand for the first time in about four years this October.

Those are the complete reports for the final recap before the July Fourth holiday weekend. Tune back in to TicketNews bright and early on Monday morning for more news, or read on for a few final concert updates in brief:
