Many Green Bay Packers fans were left disappointed last Saturday after the Family Night Scrimmage was cancelled due to inclement weather. However, one ticket company, Packer Fan Tours, is trying to reconcile this disappointment by offering credits to anyone who purchased a ticket for the event.

As part of the deal, Packer Fan Tours is offering credit, depending on what ticket a fan purchased, to any 2009 preseason or regular season game. Packer Fan Tours is also offering credit to patrons who did not purchase their Family Night ticket through their company.

When asked why Packer Fan Tours was offering this deal in the face of an obvious financial loss, President and CEO Dennis Garrity said it was all for the fans.

“Obviously, the refund offers are costing us some money. But, we look at the bigger picture. We have great customers and Packer fans, in general, are fantastic. We felt this is something we could do for them. We’ve been at this for twenty years and will be around for a long time. The fans are like family to us. We are very happy the program is being so well received.”

Garrity estimates that 250 to 300 people have already taken the company up on its offer, and expects many more to do the same in the next few days because of the great deals they offer through their Web site.

“We have very low prices on Packers pre-season game packages and tickets that are already priced way below face value, so when you combine that with the refund credits, we have wonderful opportunities to see game action very inexpensively.”

According to the Web site, Packer Fan Tours has been the official tour company of the Green Bay Packers since 1993, specializing in tickets, packages and tours to every Packers home and road game.
