Filmmaker, actor and ticket scalper Jay Giannone has made a new movie about South Boston ticket scalpers, called “Scalper,” which is making the rounds of the festival circuit, according to the Boston Herald. The film looks at the gritty world of scalping in Southie, and includes some local flavor with the casting of Kevin Weeks, who reportedly worked for notorious Boston crime lord Whitey Bulger. Over the years, Giannone resold Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics tickets, among others.
