Feel-good indie duo Matt and Kim has announced plans for a lengthy tour of the United States and Canada this fall. The musical pair launches its venture on September 15 at The Westcott Theater in Syracuse, NY, and continues on the road through November 6 at Pearl Street Nightclub in Northampton, MA.

The 36-date itinerary includes performances on September 18 at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit, MI; September 24 at Ogden Theater in Denver, CO; October 2 at Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, CA; October 12 at the House of Blues in New Orleans, LA; October 24 at the Starlight Ballroom in Philadelphia, PA; and November 4 at the House of Blues in Boston, MA.

The fall tour also includes a few dates north of the border. Canadian fans can catch Matt and Kim on September 27 at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver, BC; October 29 at Phoenix Theatre in Toronto, ON; and October 30 at le National in Montreal, QC.

“Don’t worry if you didn’t see your town on the list,” Matt and Kim wrote on their official Twitter account. “There are still more dates to be announced.”

The first round of public ticket sales begins later this week on June 23. The top ticket price in most venues is $20 day-of-show, with the exception of $25 tickets in Vancouver and $21 tickets in Seattle. A number of markets offer advance tickets well below the $20 mark, according to listings on Matt and Kim’s official Web site.

Before heading out on their seasonal trek, the peppy partners in music will hit the Adidas Stage stage at Lollapalooza 2010 in Chicago’s Grant Park for an August 6 festival performance. The duo will complete a lead-in set for Chromeo, who will be headlining the stage for the evening. It will be Matt and Kim’s second appearance at Lollapalooza, having previously played the festival in 2007.

During their tour, Matt and Kim will also take time out for another of the nation’s major music festivals. They’ll be playing the ninth annual Austin City Limits Music Festival on October 9.

Matt and Kim captivated the music industry in 2009, thanks to the catchy and ubiquitous single “Daylight.” The track, which gained airplay and culled various corporate sponsors, was a cut from the pair’s second full-length album, “Grand.”
