With another month to go before he launches his first North American tour leg, Ozzy Osbourne has already outlined a new set of concerts for the New Year, as well. The 2011 itinerary opens with a January 16 set at AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX, and continues through a February 22 event at the Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, FL.
The new 18-date jaunt will hit markets from coast to coast across the United States. Highlights include performances on January 20 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX; January 28 at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV; February 8 at Pepsi Center in Denver, CO; and February 16 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN.
The first leg of Osbourne’s tour features 15 tour stops, the majority of which are booked across the Canadian provinces, with just a handful of concerts plotted in the Northeastern states.
The venture kicks off November 12 at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC, following Osbourne’s October 30 headline set at the Voodoo Experience music festival in New Orleans, LA. The final date on the veteran rocker’s 2010 calendar is a December 12 show at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Most dates of the first and second legs of Osbourne’s 2010-2011 outing have ticket prices starting around the $27 mark. Select dates of the first tour leg are already on sale, while the next batch of public onsales is slated for the October 15 – 16 weekend.
Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford and his namesake band Halford will open each night of the 2010 tour leg. The 2011 tour leg will feature support from ex-GN’R guitar slinger Slash on all dates. More tour and ticketing details are available on Osbourne’s official Web site.
Osbourne is touring in support of his 10th solo album, “Scream,” which was released on June 22. Following its release, the Black Sabbath frontman’s newest effort peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
