It’s that time of the year again for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO). The famous rock symphony has unveiled the routing for the upcoming holiday season and its Winter Tour 2011.

TSO’s two touring groups will begin their ventures concurrently on November 11, when one crew will play the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, IA, as another sets up shop at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The Winter 2011 schedule continues through December 30 for both touring groups.

The 66-date itinerary also includes holiday concerts on November 19 in Philadelphia and Sacramento, November 27 in Boston and Portland, December 11 in Dallas and Orlando, and December 29 in Las Vegas and Toronto.

Most cities on the tour will host both an afternoon and an evening showtime, with few exceptions. A full calendar of performance dates (and time exceptions) is included below; more scheduling details are also available on the TSO’s official Web site.

Fan club presales will begin August 31 on Trans-Siberian Express. Based on those markets with upcoming TSO shows listed on, the first public ticket sales begin later on September 9. Additional onsales open over the course of the following September weekends.

Ticket prices vary depending on the city and venue. According to Ticketmaster’s earliest listings for Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets, face values appear to be within the $25-to-$60 range for the 2011 holiday season.

The ticket prices and tour schedule are similar to TSO’s 2010 holiday tour. Though known for its edgier versions of traditional holiday tunes, the group has also stepped up its non-seasonal concert tours in recent years as well.
