Ticket Summit®, the leading conference and trade show for ticketing and live entertainment professionals, began its 2012 summer conference yesterday at Bellagio Resort Hotel and Casino, with a series of afternoon workshops and its kick-off Networking Cocktail Party.
The day’s workshops included Innovative Technologies, featuring Bryan Apgar (WebsiteAlive) and Mark Hunter (Mobile Ticket App). The workshop covered ways to boost sales conversion through mobile technology, and to enhance the customer sales experience through live online chat.
Christopher Willis (Seatwave) presented the second workshop, Ticket Trading in the Global Market. Willis covered avenues for growth in the global ticket market place.
The day concluded with a kick-off Networking Cocktail Party, at which attendees were invited to mingle and network with speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and other industry executives.
Ticket Summit®‘s schedule continues today, with two panel sessions, two roundtable discussions, and a Keynote session. The first panel of the day will be State of the Box Office, featuring Ken Davenport (Davenport Theatrical), John Mann (FromThisSeat.com), Scot Richardson (TicketMob), and Sally Rosen (OFC Official Fan Club). Concurrent to that panel, a group of experts will present the Get Smart About SEO roundtable, which will cover SEO strategies for building a customer base.
The first Keynote session of the conference, featuring Catherine Cortez Masto, Attorney General of Nevada, will be held today at 1:00 PM. The afternoon panel will be Make it a Bundle!, featuring Lisa Crawford (SitInMySeats), Brandon Gayle(Groupon), and Steven Striker (Striker VIP). The afternoon roundtable discussion is titled Sports Meet, and will provide the latest on sports teams and venue management.
The concurrent Ticket Summit® trade show, with over 30 exhibiting companies, such as DYMO Endicia, PowerPay, Transaction Services, and more, runs all day today and tomorrow.
