On January 26, 2013, Madison Square Garden will hold its annual “Garden Of Laughs” to benefit the Garden Of Dreams non-profit organization. The event will be held at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden, New York, NY, and starts at 8 p.m.

Scheduled to appear at the event are Ray Romano, Darrell Hammond, Wanda Sykes, Adam Ferrara, and Robert Klein. More comedians and athlete presenters for the event are expected to be announced soon.

Tickets are on sale for Chase cardholders until Thursday, October 18 at 10 a.m. For the rest of the general public, tickets go on sale on Friday, October 19 at 10 a.m.

Romano is best known for his Emmy award-winning role as Ray Barone on the long running television sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond.” The show ran from 1996 until 2005. He is also known for voicing the role of “Manny” in the Ice Age movie franchise. Most recently he was on the TNT television show “Men of a Certain Age,” which ran from 2009 until 2011.

Hammond appeared on Saturday Night Live from 1995 through 2009. His fourteen-year run on the show was the longest of any regular cast member. While appearing on the show, Hammond was best known for his parodies of then-President Clinton. Hammond has also appeared in films such as, Scary Movie 3, Agent Cody Banks, and New York Minute.

Sykes played the role of Barbara ‘Barb’ Baran on “The New Adventure of Old Christine” which ran from 2006 to 2010. Most recently, she was the voice of Sid’s Granny in Ice Age: Continental Drift. Sykes has also appeared in several other films, notably Evan Almighty, Monster-In Law, License to Wed, and The Muppets.

Ferrara has been hosting the History Channel’s “Top Gear” for the last three years. The show features Ferrara and the show’s two other hosts talking about classic cars, racing these vehicles, and having special celebrity guests on to test drive them.

Besides “Top Gear,” Ferrara also appeared for five seasons on “Rescue Me” as Chief ‘Needles’ Nelson from 2006 to 2011. Ferrara has had roles in films such as Definitely, Maybe and Paul Blart: Mall Cop.

Klein has been a comedian for over four decades. He has had roles in numerous television shows and movies. In 1979, Klein was nominated for a Best Actor Tony Award for his role in the musical “They’re Playing Our Song.” He also appeared in HBO’s first ever stand-up comedy special in 1975.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation was founded in 2006. Since then it has helped over 215,000 tri-state area children facing obstacles such as poverty, homelessness, and illness. Over 184,000 tickets have been donated by Madison Square Garden to charities like Make-A-Wish Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Ronald McDonald House. Charity organizations served by Garden of Dreams Foundation have had more than 2,500 special events designed to help children and families.

For those looking to enjoy a good time and lots of laughter for a good cause, “Garden of Laughs” may be a great selection. The show will include appearances by popular athletes to present the individual comedians scheduled to perform. All proceeds from the show are being donated to the Garden of Dreams Foundation.
