Landing in the No. 1 position in this week’s exclusive TicketNews event rankings is Sir Paul McCartney who is currently on tour overseas. The legendary singer recently announced that he would be bringing back his ‘On One Tour’ back to North America and this time he will perform in some cities the for the first time.

The tour will rev up this July in Miami and will wrap In October in Detroit. Other cities scheduled include: Tampa, Duluth, Bossier City, Wichita, Des Moines, Omaha, Tinley Park, Newark, New York, Brooklyn, Syracuse and Uniondale.

Another new tour in rankings this week is hip-hop artist, Kendrick Lamar who landed in the No. 2 spot. The seven-time, Grammy-award winning artist who recently released a new album, ‘Damn’ in April will head out on the road with special guests, Travis Scott and D.R.A.M in July.

The 17-city tour will kick-off in Phoenix and will wrap in August in Los Angeles. Other cities include: Dallas, Houston, Duluth, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Washington, Boston, Toronto, Auburn Hills, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, Vancouver, Oakland and Las Vegas.

Bank in the rankings this week and landing in the No. 3 spot is the Canelo Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr fight. The match-up, which is being billed as the biggest all-Mexican fight in boxing history will take place on May 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Currently in its fourth revival since its inception in 1969, the Broadway musical Hello Dolly! landed in the No. 5 position this week. The musical is being shown at the Shubert Theatre in New York City.

Dropping into the No. 6 position this week from last week’s No. 3 is singer, song-writer Ed Sheeran who is set to tour in support of his third studio album, ‘Divide.’

The North American leg of his tour kicks-off on June 29 in Kansas City and will wrap on October 6 Nashville. Other cities on the tour include: Des Moines, Saint Paul, Toronto, Buffalo, Philadelphia, Uncasville, Quebec City, Montreal, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Vancouver, Tacoma, Portland, Sacramento, Oakland, Las Vegas, Glendale, San Diego, Denver, Tulsa, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Duluth, Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Raleigh, Charlotte, Omaha, Rosemont, St. Louis, Washington D.C., Boston, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Brooklyn and Columbus.

Theatre favorite Hamilton, managed to retain its No. 4 position from last week, while the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus grabbed the No. 7 spot down from last week’s No. 5. The Weeknd was back in the rankings this week’s in the No. 8 spot while Tim McGraw & Faith Hill grabbed the No. 9 position. Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull & CNCO rounded out the rankings in the No. 10 spot.

Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park makes a New Appearance in the Rankings

With some help from excited Paul McCartney fans, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre at Tinley Park made its first appearance in TicketNews exclusive venue rankings in the No. 8 position. The singer, song-writer was scheduled for tour date in July but due to an overwhelming demand a second date was scheduled.

The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was able to move up into the No. 1 position this week from last week’s No. 3 with some help from some from hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar who is set to perform at the venue in August. The venue is also set to his the upcoming match-up between Canelo Alvarez vs Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

The Staples Center landed in the No. 2 spot while Madison Square Garden moved up into the No. 2 position from last week’s No. 9 spot. The Shubert Theatre moved down into the No.3 spot from last week’s No. 1 while Fenway Park grabbed the No. 5 position. The AT&T Stadium locked in the NO. 6 spot from last week’s No. 2 while The Toyota Center – TX grabbed the No. 7 position. Dodger Stadium fell one position into the No. 9 from last week’s No. 8n while The Verizon Center – DC rounded out the rankings this week in the No. 10 position.
