The 2018 NCAA Division Men’s Basketball Tournament begins this week, and March Madness is spreading to the ticketing world. This year’s tournament will run through April 2, starting with the First Four in Dayton before the 64 team extravaganza gets going on Thursday. No. 1 overall was the first round action in Detroit, due in no small part to the presence of Michigan State. All told, nine NCAA-related events made the Top 20, helping sports dominate the list.

Basketball was the overwhelming king of the day, with some NBA action also making the list. Yesterday’s Rockets-Dallas tilt was No. 11, while the March 31 Knicks-Pistons game wound up at No. 17. Sales are also soaring for the men’s and women’s 3rd round of the BNP Paribas Open today, as well as the International Friendly: Mexico versus Croatia, coming up on March 27.

Foo-Fighters, The Eagles, the three-day passes for the first weekend of Coachella, and Broadway’s The Lion King were also among Sunday’s hottest selling tickets.
