The singing competition American Idol has returned this year to TV with arguably one of the best seasons yet – and it’s not over yet. The top seven finalists will tour the country for three months this summer.

After narrowing down the contestants from thousands of applicants, seven singers made it onto the American Idol Live! 2018 tour: Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Catie Turner, Gabby Barrett, Jurnee, Maddie Poppe and Michael J. Woodard. The singers will tour with special guest Kris Allen, who won Season 8 of American Idol.

The tour is set to kick-off on July 11 in Redding, California, and cross the country throughout the summer months before wrapping up in Washington, D.C. on September 16. The contestants will be joined by In Real Life on select dates, the winner of ABC’s competition show Boy Band, which aired last summer. Since their debut, the band has released singles “Eyes Closed,” “Tattoo (How ‘Bout You),” and “How Badly.”

TFL and ATBS for ticketing professionals

This is the first American Idol tour since 2015, which featured the top five finalists of the fourteenth season of the show. Producer Jared Paul told Billboard that the live tour is bringing him back to his roots after the three-year absence.

“For me, it’s coming back full-circle being involved in a tour that opened my eyes to how TV shows put butts in seats and entertain people,” Paul said. “I’ve always wanted to be a part of this tour because I always thought there was something we could do to help. Thankfully, they took us up on that offer.”
