August Hall is the new hangout spot in San Francisco; the live music venue has partnered with Live Nation to bring in an eclectic group of performers and already announced 12 sold-out shows.

Hospitality veterans Nate Valentine, Scott Murphy, Justin Roja, and Chad Donnelly have teamed up in hopes to change the city’s music scene with their dynamic line-up. August Hall is located in the historic Native Sons of Golden West building, which is 15,000 sq ft. and holds 1,000 guests. The venue encompasses both classic and contemporary decor, featuring a theatre-style stage and a main floor surrounded by an open balcony.

Throughout the building, there are multiple semi-private viewing areas like the Green Room, tucked away on the second floor. The room includes a brass bar with cocktails, vintage novelties, and a wooden library wall. Additionally, August Hall is set to share a lobby with their sister establishment, Fifth Arrow. As a cocktail bar and gaming parlor, concertgoers can gather before the show and keep the fun going after with a bite to eat and even bowling.

“August Hall’s opening is a dream come true for our team.  We set out to create a modern-day entertainment landmark and add to the rich music and entertainment scene in our beloved City,” partner Murphy said. “We are confident that the venue’s incredible performances, events, hospitality, and prime location in Union Square – the heart and soul of the City – will deliver an authentic and entertaining experience that showcases the very best of San Francisco for locals and visitors to enjoy for years to come.”

The venue has teamed up with Live Nation, and LN Northern California president Jodi Goodman said she is “thrilled to see August Hall come to fruition.”

“The culmination of dedication, precision, and passion that was put into this project is reflected in the quality of experiences for both the artists and guests,” Goodman said. “We’re confident that the venue will become an iconic, must-visit destination for live entertainment in the City. Already, several shows have sold out within hours of ticket release.”

A handful of shows have already sold out, including tomorrow night’s show by Chon, Polyphia, Ttng, and Tricot. Tonight, Dixon & DJ will take the stage, and Honey Soundsystem will perform on June 24 for ‘Pride Sunday.’ Big-name artists who are set to take the stage this summer are Shakey Graves, Johnny Marr, Superfuit, and Blue October.
