For the second year in a row, The Roots have announced a brief set of shows later this year just around the holidays.
The holiday tour will only make stops on the east coast, starting in Boston, Massachusetts right after Christmas on December 26. From there, they will visit New Jersey, Maryland, and Florida before wrapping-up in Atlanta, Georgia on New Year’s Eve. This schedule is the same as last year, except this time, a gig at The Fillmore in Miami Beach, Florida has been added.
Their most recent album, …and then you shoot your cousin, dropped back in 2014. Since that LP, the group has released singles “Champion” and the Hamilton track “My Shot,” which features Busta Rhymes, Joell Ortiz, and Nate Ruess. Additionally, they were featured on Paul McCartney’s single “Wonderful Christmastime” with Jimmy Fallon last year.
Earlier this year, they were seen performing at the Tidal X Brooklyn show, the 2018 Summer Spirit Festival, Essence Festival, and Cincinnati Music Festival. Check out the group’s upcoming holiday tour dates below.
