Alt-rock band The Maine have announced U.S. tour dates this summer in support of their forthcoming record, You Are Ok.
The Maine is slated to perform on tour with Taking Back Sunday throughout April and the beginning of May, but right after, they’ll head out on a headlining tour. Their homestate of Arizona will kick-off the trek in Tucson on May 9, followed by shows in cities like Pensacola, Austin, Charlotte, Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Tulsa. Albuquerque, New Mexico will wrap-up the run on May 31. Throughout the outing, Grayscale will open the show.
Last year, the band appeared on the final run of Vans Warped Tour, supporting their hit album Lovely Little Lonely. The Maine noted that they were closing the chapter of Lovely Little Lonely and working on a new project, teasing fans with updates over the past few months. Then, last week, they dropped the first single off of their new record, “Numb Without You,” and announced that You Are Ok drops this March.
You Are Ok is The Maine’s seventh studio album and 2019 marks the band’s 12-year anniversary. The group just held their second 8123 Fest in Arizona which they described as a “dreamlike blur with blood and chosen family alike all coming together to celebrate the community we’ve been so fortunate to be a part of.”
“The past twelve years can’t be summarized in word form, but for the first time I don’t feel weird saying Happy Birthday To Us, because it’s not just the five of us anymore, it’s the thousands of us around the world,” The Maine said in a post. “We’re on the brink of being a teenager, and all I have to say is look the fuck out. Long live The Maine and Long Live 8123.”
While these are the only tour dates announced at this time, fans expect the band to add more shows – particularly on the east coast – in the coming months.
