Fans of the rock group Guided By Voices are in for a treat this New Year’s Eve, as the group has a special 100-song marathon to round-out the year.
The band, which has successfully garnered attention with hits like “Game of Pricks,” “I Am A Scientist,” and “Hold On Hope,” have a vast catalog of over 25 albums. While they normally perform a long set, rounding out to about 60 songs, they want to set a new record at this “ultimate end-of-the-year blowout.” The show is set to take place on December 31 at Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom.
Currently, Guided By Voices are touring throughout the summer and are set to make stops in cities like Boston, Jersey City, Cincinnati, and Toronto. They can also be found performing at a variety of festivals, including Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, Netherlands’ Best Kept Secret, and Milwaukee’s Summerfest.
Today, the band dropped the 24-song record Warp and Woof, featuring the single “Angelic Weirdness.” The LP, which has already received praise, follows their February release Zeppelin over China, along with 2018’s Space Gun.
