The 79th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, set to kick-off in August, just announced the legendary rap star Snoop Dogg as a headlining performer at this year’s event.

Snoop Dogg will join the previously-announced list of performers, including the metal bands Disturbed, Skid Row, and Godsmack, as well as rock groups Saving Abel, Volbeat, STYX, George Thorogood and Collective Soul. Country’s Keith Urban, Toby Keith, and The Reverend Horton Heat will also take the stage, along with the Black Sabbath cover band Zakk Sabbath. The men of the show HUNKS are also slated to appear during the event.

Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will run from August 2 through 11 in the Black Hills of South Dakota. During the 10 days of the rally, 500,000 riders will rev-up their engines and take a ride on routes like Devil’s Tower, Bear Butte & Beyond, Custer State Park, and Deadwood & Vanocker Canyon. The scenic area, which is only minutes away from Mount Rushmore, will also offer food from more than 100 vendors.

Throughout the event, guided rides are offered, as well as the Legendary Sturgis 5K, a tattoo contest, and a poker tournament.

This year’s rally is a part of the 2019 AMA National Gypsy Tour, which features eight scenic rides throughout eight states. The remaining tours include stops in Nevada, New Mexico, New York, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Ohio before wrapping-up in South Dakota.

“This year’s tour kicked off with the AMA Gypsy Tour at Bike Week in Daytona Beach, one of the biggest rallies in the nation,” AMA Recreational Riding Manager Heather Wilson said in a release. “The tour continues in April with the Laughlin River Run in Nevada and moves on from there.

“These events allow riders of all makes and models to get together and enjoy food, entertainment, group or individual riding and vendors.”
