The Country Music Hall of Fame group Alabama had to postpone a handful of remaining shows on their 50th anniversary tour as lead singer Randy Owens dealt with complications from migraines and vertigo, but now the gigs have been rescheduled.

The shows were originally supposed to take place from August 23 to November 23, stopping in cities like Detroit, Columbia, Birmingham, Charlotte, Indianapolis, and Nashville, hitting venues like the Martin Luther King Jr. Arena in Savannah, the Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, and Madison’s Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center.

This week, the group announced rescheduled dates for 10 of the 20 shows postponed. They will kick-off the new dates on July 10, 2020 in Columbia, which will run through late October, wrapping-up in Grand Rapids on October 24. At this time, the other 10 dates have not been rescheduled, but all tickets will be honored at the new show date.

Alabama was touring in support of their 50th anniversary and before they had to reschedule shows, bass player and vocalist Teddy Gentry said that the tour has been “very special to us” and the band appreciated all the energy they were receiving during the trek.

“As disappointed as myself, Randy, and Jeff are to have to postpone this tour for all of our incredible fans, we know that Randy’s recovery is what is most important for everyone at this time,” he said at the time of the postponement. “We would like to thank our fans, promoters, and venues and we look forward to seeing you all soon.”
