Country rising star Luke Combs has broken the record for the fastest sellout at Kentucky’s Rupp Arena.
The arena, which has been in business in Lexington for 43 years, announced that Combs’ upcoming concert on February 14 went on sale this past Friday and sold out in 12 minutes. The sellout beat Paul McCartney, who held the previous record for a show in 2018 by one minute.
Combs is stopping at the arena on his recently-announced What You See Is What You Get Tour, in support of his forthcoming sophomore record of the same name. During the trek, he’ll make stops in cities like Albuquerque, Corpus Christi, Houston, and Colorado Springs with Ashley McBryde and Drew Parker joining him for the outing. Already, he’s also sold-out arenas across the country including Louisville’s KFC YUM! Center.
Currently, Combs is performing on his sold-out Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour through late December in support of his recent EP The Prequel this summer, which features the smash-hit “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” He’s continued to garner attention in the country music scene with hits “Beautiful Crazy,” “When It Rains It Pours,” and “Hurricane.”
