The Tony Award winning actress Lea Salonga is heading out on a North American tour this spring in support of some new music.
The tour will kick-off in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 3 and 4, followed by gigs in Vancouver, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Lancaster. She’s also slated to appear in Garden City, Malibu, and Cerritos before wrapping-up in Modesto, California on May 9. Following the U.S. dates, she’ll head overseas to visit cities like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
“I’m thrilled to be back on the road in North America – and all around the world – in 2020,” Solanga said in a statement. “We’ve got a lot of new music, some old favorites, and a few surprises in store. WE had so much fun with our incredible sold-out audiences last year. I can’t wait to perform at these gorgeous venues and connect with fans new and old in the months to cone.”
Most recently, Solonga was featured in Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd in Manila and Singapore as the pie-making Mrs. Lovett. She’s also performed in the London production of Miss Saigon. Previously, Solonga was seen in the Broadway production of Les Miserables and the Tony-winning show Once On This Island. She is best-known for offering her voice as Princess Jasmine in the Animated Disney film Aladdin and Fa Mulan for Mulan and Mulan II.
