The “Metalcore Dropouts Tour” is heading into its second semester this year with additional tour dates featuring The Devil Wears Prada and Fit For a King.
The first leg of the tour just wrapped-up last week, but the bands aren’t ready to call it quits just yet. The co-headlining run will continue on January 16 in Kansas City, Missouri, followed by gigs in Albany, Orlando, Portland, and Edmonton. Along the way, they’ll appear at venues like San Diego’s Soma, The Webster in Hartford, Cleveland’s House of Blues, and The Park Theatre in Winnipeg before wrapping-up at The Fillmore in Minneapolis.
Counterparts will continue to provide support, while Avoid will open the show.
“When the Metalcore Dropouts tour started out with such a bang, we knew we had to keep the party going for all of the cities that we missed along the way,” Jeremy DePoyster of TDWP said in a statement. “The shows have been absolutely psychotic and the hangs have been even better, and we are thrilled to be able to bring our buddies in Avoid along this time. These have been the best TDWP shows of our career, and the energy is pure chaos, insanity, and fun. The Second Semester will be nonstop mayhem across North America — do NOT miss this tour!”
TDWP is best-known for early 2000s metalcore hits like “Born to Lose,” “Mammoth,” and “War.” In 2022, they dropped their eighth studio record, Color Decay, which featured tracks “Salt,” “Time,” and “Broken.” Fit For a King arrived on the scene around the same time, garnering attention with songs like “Warpath,” “Shadows & Echos,” and “Tower of Pain.” Last year, they dropped the LP The Hell We Create.
