Daniel Breaker, Merle Dandridge to Join Broadway’s ‘Hadestown’

Broadway’s “Hadestown” is getting ready to add two performers to its cast.

Starting February 18, Daniel Breaker and Merle Dandridge are set to take the stage at the Walter Kerr Theatre, taking on the roles of Hermes and Persephone. The casting change will follow the departure of Lillias White and Allison Russell, who will perform their final shows on February 16.

Breaker has appeared in several Broadway productions, including roles in “Passing Strange,” for which he earned a Tony nomination, “Shrek the Musical,” “The Book of Mormon,” and “Hamilton.” His most recent Broadway appearance was in “Once Upon a Mattress.” Meanwhile, Dandridge’s Broadway credentials include performances in “Aida,” “Rent,” “Spamalot,” and “Tarzan.”
